THE final round of the 2011-12 season is upon us and with plenty to play for. The first XI are still trying to keep out of the relegation zone with a trip to Yarraville Club for some quality scones at afternoon tea, the second XI will be at home against 2nd placed Yarraville Club, after a thrilling victory last week a win this week can see them secure a home final, while a loss can see them miss out on March all together. The 3rd XI are away to Spotswood needing to secure a big win to be any chance of finals while the 4th XI are in the same boat at home to Hoppers Crossing 6.
While this round holds significant importance for the future of this great club, it is also a week to celebrate a fantastic achievement by two great clubman. Craig Osborne, 1st XI captain, 7 time Beau Redmond medalist, 1st XI Premiership captain, and best clubman award winner celebrates his 150th game in the same week Luke Davis 3 time premiership player, social committee leader, and best clubman award winner celebrates his 150th game. It is hard to find two players at the club who encompass more what it is to be a 'Snowdog' and the entire club wish them the very best this weekend in what is a major accomplishment. Both were huge in getting us into Senior Division, and hopefully both can have a big game this week and keep us there - where we belong.
