SNOWDOGS CREATE HISTORY

40 years of snowdogs cricket has never seen 4 senior teams in the finals - until now. The first XI have been fantastic all year, winning the first 10 games and finishing 2nd on the ladder in their first season in Senior A. The 2nd XI were undefeated up until Christmas, and also finished 2nd. The Third XI had to wait until the last day of the regular season to seal their finals fate. While the 4th XI were assured of a finals spot going into the final round. Not only did the 4 seniors sides make the finals, but the 5 Juniors sides did too - you'd have to get the record books out to see if any other club has ever had 9 teams playing finals

SNOWDOGS INTO SENIOR A FOR 2008-09

St Bernard's Old Collegians Cricket Club has voted to accept an invitation from the VTCA to be promoted to Senior A Division for the 2008 / 2009 cricket season.
The VTCA have confirmed that our acceptance means that our First XI will play in Senior A this coming season.
At the Committee meeting held last week, there were lengthy and in-depth discussions on the proposal, and what it may mean for our club.  After much consideration of the pros & cons of being promoted to Senior A, the Committee voted to accept the VTCA's invitation.
This is an exciting development for the club and will see us tackle a higher grade of cricket within the VTCA structure.  Having been strong at North A level for a number of years, the club is well placed to tackle the challenge.
However, there is plenty of hard work to be done as the season approaches to ensure the club is well equipped for the task.  The Committee is enthusiastic about the challenge, and will be striving in a number of areas to have the club ready for the assault on Senior A
