ROUND 2; WEEK ONE WRAP-UP

A solid start for the St.Bernards Old Collegians Cricket Club in their first day of play for the 2012/13 season. Opening the season at home the First XI amassed 285, the highest score by the first XI in over 5 seasons. New coach Romain Grenville debuted with 96, while Captain Craig Osborne made 75 against last years Senior South premiers - Old Mentone.
The 2nd XI will be chasing 198 for victory after they had the hosts 5/60 at tea, but dropped 6 catches to allow Mentone to post a competitive score.
The Third XI collapsed to be all out for 115 at Greenvale only to close the day taking 7 wickets for 57 and hold the upper hand heading into week 2.
The 4th XI had a final over victory against Greenvale in their one day match at St.Bernards on Sunday. Veteran opening bowler Greg Cook snared himself a hat-trick, while his good mate Phil Conlan brought up the winning runs in the final over, ending on 48*.
